Chenab Club Faisalabad Membership: Fees, History and Rules (2026)
The Chenab Club, Faisalabad's oldest club, explained: its 1910 history, facilities, the membership fee figures that exist, how to apply and the new Expressway site.

The Chenab Club (G) Limited is Faisalabad's oldest club, established in March 1910 in Civil Lines on Club Road, with about 3,500 members according to its own site. The club publishes no fee table. For a second site on the Expressway at Sahianwala, its social posts say PKR 40 lakh in total, PKR 10 lakh at registration and then PKR 3.75 lakh a quarter. For the city club, the only figures are unofficial estimates of about PKR 70 lakh to more than PKR 1 crore. New members apply in person to the Club Secretary with a written application, and approval comes before the fee.
Updated 22 October 2026. Fees change, and none of the figures below comes from an official price list. Nothing here is legal advice.

What is the Chenab Club, and how old is it?
The Chenab Club (G) Limited is a limited company and a club with about 3,500 members, in Civil Lines on Club Road, off Sargodha Road in Faisalabad. The official history says the first Deputy Commissioner of Lyallpur, Henry Cues (1904 to 1906), conceived a social club for British officers of the Sandal Bar. The club was established in March 1910 in Qaisary Bagh, now Company Bagh or Jinnah Garden, on 72 kanals acquired from the Irrigation Department.
It was paid for by the officers themselves: 36 people contributed Rs 2,591 in total, the largest gift being Rs 500 and the smallest Rs 10. Until 1942 membership was limited to white members of the civil service, and in 1942 a few Indians were admitted for the first time. After 1947, membership opened to businessmen, doctors, professors, lawyers and government officers.
A Wikimapia page puts the first action in December 1909, and a student slide deck gives the area as 72 acres, which conflicts with the official 72 kanals, so we use the official figures. Current office bearers listed on the official site are President Muhammad Nouman Siddique and Honorary Secretary Dr Abira Haleem. We found no owner or controlling body beyond the elected committee. Do not confuse the club with Chenab Gardens (a housing society) or Chenab College Jhang.
Where is the Chenab Club and how do you contact it?
The club is in Civil Lines on Club Road, Sargodha Road, Faisalabad. The official site header lists (041) 2627305, while Google Maps and Facebook list +92 41 2627304, with extensions 3039 and 3040. The email in the header is [email protected]. Hotels listed nearby on Trip.com include West Inn (0.24 km) and Serena (0.82 km).
The Lahore Gymkhana lists the Chenab Club among its affiliated clubs, and the official site has a reciprocal clubs page. Google Maps says the club closes at 12 AM, while Facebook says "Always open", so confirm the hours before you visit.
What facilities does the Chenab Club have?
The official site lists separate gymnasiums for ladies and gents, separate roofed swimming pools for ladies and gents with a filter plant and gas heaters, eight international standard grass tennis courts and one hard court with floodlights, a squash hall with a wooden floor and coaching, a 3D cineplex, a chess house, guest rooms and a board room.
Dining includes Daffodils, Roof Top, Tree House, a dining hall and barbecue, and Lyallpur Hall is used for events. The grass courts host the All Pakistan Governor's Cup Tennis Tournament every year. Separate women's gym and pool are confirmed. We found no children's areas listed.
How much is the Chenab Club membership fee?
The club does not publish a fee table. Its Members page says "Membership Module is Under Construction", and the other link is for existing members to get a new membership number. These are the figures we found, and only the first comes from the club's own posts.
| Membership | Joining fee | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Expressway site (new) | PKR 40 lakh in total: PKR 10 lakh at registration, then PKR 3.75 lakh quarterly (number of quarters cut off) | Chenab Club Facebook and Instagram posts via Google. Facebook said 3 weeks ago, Instagram said 11 months ago for the same text |
| City club, public estimate | About PKR 70 lakh | A post on X in 2022 |
| City club, public estimate | "Crosses 10 million" (PKR 1 crore) | A Reddit comment on r/Lyallpur, about 2 years before 22 October 2026 |
| City club, public estimate | "90 lakhs" | A LinkedIn post, about 1 year before 22 October 2026 |
| Categories (life, corporate, ladies and others) | Not published | Official site, 22 October 2026 |
If the balance of the Expressway fee is PKR 30 lakh, a quarterly payment of PKR 3.75 lakh would take eight quarters, but that is our arithmetic, because the post is cut off. We could not open the posts, so the date, the number of payments and whether the fee applies to city club members are unconfirmed. We also found no monthly dues or deposit. Ask the club for a written fee schedule with the date.
Zameen claims that the fees at Naturals Club are "three times lower than the Chenab Club", which is a sales claim. Compare it with our guide to Naturals Club membership.

How do you apply for Chenab Club membership?
The club's own posts say to meet the Club Secretary in person with a written application explaining why you want to join. A separate Instagram news post says applicants submit a written request with a CNIC, and forms are issued only after approval and fee payment. We found no age limit, waiting list, interview or ballot rule.
Contact the club only through its official number and email. The site also has a forms page and a "Get New Membership Number" page for existing members. We found no transfer fee, and no Chenab Club membership resale listings in our searches.
What are the Chenab Club rules?
The official news list includes notices titled "Dress Code of Chenab Club" (30 October 2024), "Entry of Guests", "Delivery of Club Bills via Email" and a COVID-19 SOP. We saw the titles, not the full texts. The Entry of Guests notice appears to restrict guests at certain times on Fridays and Saturdays, but we could not read it in full, so ask the club for the current rules before you plan an event.
What is the new Chenab Club site on the Expressway?
The club is developing a second site, "Chenab Club, Expressway, Sahianwala, Faisalabad". The official home page shows a Request for Proposal and a Tender Notice, both dated 17 August 2026, for a design and resident supervision consultant and for sealed bids to build it.
Dawn reported on 9 October 2026 that a Rs 622 million (PKR 62.2 crore) contract for external and infrastructure development at the site has a six month completion period. It also reported that a contractor, Simcon Construction, alleged irregularities in the tender after its financial bid was opened following technical disqualification, and said its representatives were made to wait about three hours and were treated badly by security. The club's honorary secretary told Dawn that the firm did not qualify on technical grounds and that the club was awaiting the committee's decision, and the committee head declined comment. This is one contractor's allegation, not a finding.
What discounts and tax apply to club fees?
The club's official updates mention agreements for 40 percent discounts on monthly bills with BankIslami (capped at Rs 5,000) and UBL (capped at Rs 10,000).
On tax, Punjab Excise's education cess page says that since the Finance Act 2011, notified elite clubs whose initial membership fee in any category is PKR 2 lakh or more pay a cess of 10 percent of the initial fee and 10 percent of the charge for services. The page is undated, we could not confirm the 2026 rate, and we found nothing naming the Chenab Club as a notified club. Ask the club what taxes are included in a quoted fee.
What do people say about the Chenab Club?
Google Maps shows 4.4 stars from 4,117 reviews, and Facebook shows 90 percent of 465 reviewers recommending the club (22 October 2026). We did not read the review text, so we cannot summarise praise or complaints from it. We found no other news, court case or dispute about the city club.
